The Bridge: Program Management & Stakeholder Coordination

Building Climate-Smart Community Resilience (Promotion & Public Engagement)

Organisation: Hong Kong Red Cross (Funded by the Hongkong Bank Foundation)

Project Objective: The overall program aimed to enhance climate resilience for 650 vulnerable households in inadequate housing. My specific project objective was to design and execute a comprehensive promotion and engagement strategy to generate publicity, drive participation for the resilience initiatives, and educate over 10,000 members of the public on climate preparedness within one year.

My Role & Responsibilities: As the Lead for Promotion and Publicity, I managed the end-to-end lifecycle of the engagement project, coordinating closely with the technical implementation team (High Risks Team) to ensure strategic alignment.

  • Initiating & Planning: Defined the communication scope and budget; identified key stakeholder groups (donors, government, and vulnerable communities) and developed a multi-channel promotion plan.

  • Execution: Managed the production of all promotional content and led the logistical execution of 4 rowing exhibitions and 8 promotional depots. I oversaw the transition to sustainable procurement by designing a modular, FSC-certified exhibition system, serving as a flagship for green public education.

  • Monitoring & Controlling: Tracked engagement KPIs and media reach; managed vendor performance and budget utilisation to ensure promotional activities stayed within the HKD 1M+ allocation.

Deliverables & Outcome: Successfully generated high-level publicity for the resilience program, reaching 10,000+ participants annually. The strategic promotion ensured the program’s visibility to donors (HSBC) and the public, while the new sustainable procurement framework significantly reduced the environmental footprint of the organisation's outreach activities.

Clean Air Neighbourhood (Phase One Deployment & Air Quality Literacy)

Organisation: Clean Air Network (in partnership with HKUST)

Project Objective: The project aimed to bridge the gap between technical environmental data and community health awareness by deploying the ‘AirSpot’ portable air quality sensor. The goal was to enable 500+ students to conduct real-world air data collection and reach 2,000+ community members to identify and advocate against roadside pollution black spots within a specific timeframe.

My Role & Responsibilities: As Project Lead, I managed the end-to-end development and deployment lifecycle, serving as the primary integrator between technical academic partners and community stakeholders.

  • Initiating & Planning: Defined the project scope, budget, and resource requirements; established a collaborative framework between HKUST, NGO partners, and local schools.

  • Execution: Oversee the real-world deployment of 'AirSpot' sensors. I led the "data-to-insight" process, translating complex environmental datasets into accessible, high-impact digital outputs (infographics and animated videos) to drive public policy advocacy.

  • Monitoring & Controlling: Managed the project schedule and budget to ensure the pilot program met its technical and engagement KPIs. I facilitated regular cross-sector coordination meetings to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve technical deployment issues.

  • Closing: Formalised the impact report and transition plan for Phase Two. Documented the collaborative ecosystem model to serve as a template for future evidence-based sustainability advocacy programs.

Deliverables & Outcome: Successfully deployed a functional community air monitoring network. The project empowered 500+ students as "citizen scientists" and produced data-driven communication tools that informed local community health strategies. Established a proven partnership model between academia and the social sector for environmental monitoring.
